January Winter Warmers

Last Updated : 21 June 2020

Almost as soon as Christmas and New Year is over we head right into the darkest and the coldest portion of our year. It can be hard to stay positive during this time, your next payday feels like half a year away and everything is just grey all the time. We’ve put together a list of things we think everybody needs to help you feel warm and cosy both at home and when you need to venture out. Buckle up guys spring is just around the corner.

Grey Suedette Slipper Boots

Grey Suedette Slipper Boot from Debenhams

Slipper boots are first on the agenda, feet are the body part that becomes chilly the easiest and it is rubbish when they’re little icicles rather than toasty marshmallows. A good snug pair of slipper boots such as these suedette ones will keep all your toes warm.

If you don’t like the booties than any style of slipper will do, just make sure they’re warm and preferably fully. The pair we’ve chosen is not in the sale for just £11.00 at Debenhams.

Faux Fur Long Hot Water Bottle

Faux Fur Long Hot Water Bottle from The Range

Hot water bottles are simply the best when you need an actual hit of heat up against your body. Recently these long design ones have been becoming popular and we are here for them. Now rather than heat just at your centre you can have the heat running along your entire body. This one we found at The Range and it’s only £10.99, you had better hurry if you want one though, they are selling like hotcakes.

Pom Pom Fleece Onesie, Grey

Pom Pom Fleece Onesie, Grey from Debenhams

Who doesn’t love a onesie? They are the perfectly designed all in one pyjama for the entire family. There are so many out there now you can have one that looks like anything. You can be a cartoon character if you want or just opt for comfort and get a fleecy one like this one from John Lewis. It’s currently £35 and is so super warm and soft we’ve fallen in love.

The faux fur-lined hood and kangaroo pockets give extra snugness and the easy zip down the front makes it easy to put on and take off. The pom-poms keep things fun. Get one now and start each evening off in total comfort.

Navy Space Dye Knit Scarf

Navy Space Dye Knit Scarf from Mantaray

A good coat is all very well and good but during January and February when the weather is at it’s most bitter you need a bit of extra help. This scarf from Mantaray is just the thing you’re looking for. It comes in an attractive tie dye hue with a super cosy oversized shape and is nice and thick to keep the heat in. All three are now just £10 at Debenhams.

Maple & Pecan Hot Chocolate

Maple and Pecan Hot Chocolate from Hotel Chocolat

Moving on to hot chocolate next, it doesn’t matter if you clutching a takeaway cup full of steaming hot choc whilst browsing the January sales or if you’re sat on your sofa at home with a mug full to the brim while sat in front of the fire, hot chocolate is always a good idea and a great way of warming up.

We chose a particularly fancy option from Hotel Chocolat. It is flavoured with maple and pecan and is 100% pure flacked chocolate rather than a powder. Get 10 perfect mugs for just £12 today.

Glenmorangie Original Single Malt Whiskey

Glenmorangie Original Single Malt Whiskey from Tesco

If hot chocolate isn’t going to cut it or perhaps you’re suffering from a bit of a cold then a Hot Toddy is sure to warm your cockles. Comprised of Whiskey, lemon, honey, hot water and a cinnamon stick, it will warm you from the inside while the steam opens your congested airways and the whiskey relaxes you. We’ve gone for a Glenmorangie Original as it was in the sale at Tesco at only £25 for a bottle and has 5 stars.

Textured Stripe Jumper

Neppy Striped Jumper from Matalan

This stripe jumper from Matalan is only £16 and will keep you warm all night long. It has a super relaxed cut with long cuffed sleeves which increases the snug factor and we love the colours. A fluffy finish isn’t a necessity but it is a bonus.

Woollen jumpers are a must-have in your winter wardrobe, other great retailers in F&F, Debenhams and M&S.

Pocket Pal Llama Hand Warmer

Pocket Pal Llama Hand Warmer

How cute is this little Llama? Not only is he cute but he also warms your hands up when you’re out and about. All you need to do is pop him in the microwave for a few moments and then he’s good to head out with you keeping your pockets and hands warm and toasty.

We found him on the Oliver Bonas website, He’s only £10 so we’re tempted to get two and have one for each hand! He keeps the heat for a long time as well so you can keep going for longer.

Woodwick Trilogy Cozy Cabin Hourglass Medium

Woodwick Trilogy Cozy Cabin Hourglass Medium from Boots

Lastly, on this list, we have a WoodWick Candle from Boots. Home Fragrance now has a third off so it comes in at only £13.33 down from £19.99. Any candle instantly makes you feel warmer somehow but these with the wooden wicks make a crackling noise as they burn which amps up the warming feels even more.

We love all the scents offered by this particular brand but this one has three in one and is perfect for our winter warmers list as its named cosy cabin. The three scents are Evening Bonfire, Oudwood and Woodsmoke. Head on over to boot today and discover your favourite WoodWick smell and save a third.

That’s our rundown of top winter warmers for the coming dark days between New Year and spring. How many do you have already? We hope we’ve helped warm you up a little. Before you head to the checkouts be sure to come back and make sure we don’t have any voucher codes or offers that could potentially help you save even more on your purchases. We love saving you guys money.
